One image, fourteen shapes

A 1920 × 1080 landscape frame loses roughly 68% of its width on the way to a 9:16 Reel, and the crop is centred by default — which is exactly where your subject usually isn't. Oxhype reframes each upload per placement, so the subject stays in frame instead of being centre-cropped out of it.

Check any image in three steps.

  1. Enter your dimensions

Type your image's width and height, or start from a common preset. Nothing is uploaded — the check is pure arithmetic in your browser.

  2. See the crop per placement

Every card tells you whether the image fits natively, only needs a resize, or loses a share of its width or height to the crop.

  3. Export each format you need

Export at the right ratio for each placement, then attach every version to one Oxhype post and choose which file each platform gets.

Stop exporting the same asset five times.

This guide tells you what each placement wants. Oxhype produces it from one upload.

  • Every format in one post

Export a 9:16 cut for Reels and keep the 16:9 original for YouTube: attach both to one Oxhype post and each goes to the right feed.

  • Every ratio from one file

Upload the 4:5, 1:1, 9:16 and 16:9 versions you exported once, and Oxhype publishes each where you choose.

  • Check, then publish

Use the checker to export the right sizes, then publish them together; Oxhype sends each file exactly as uploaded.

Image size questions

Is this image size guide free?

Yes. It's free, needs no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser — you enter dimensions, not files, so no image ever leaves your device.

What are the safest sizes to design for in 2026?

1080 × 1350 px (4:5) for feed posts and 1080 × 1920 px (9:16) for all vertical video covers the majority of placements. Both are portrait, which fills more of a mobile screen than square.

How is the crop percentage calculated?

It compares your image's aspect ratio to the placement's. The wider of the two loses width, the taller loses height, and the figure shown is the share of that dimension trimmed when the image is centre-cropped to fit.

Do these dimensions change?

Yes — networks revise their creative specs regularly. These values reflect published 2026 recommendations; confirm against the platform's own specs before a large production run.

Can Oxhype resize images for me?

No. Oxhype publishes your media exactly as uploaded. Use this guide to export the sizes you need, then attach each version to one post and choose which platform gets which.
